I am an artist and a Native American Dreaming Woman, from the Ancient Yaqui traditions of the Five Worlds. The Fifth is the World beyond our human comprehension, where the vast beings dwell near the realm of the Solar Absolute. It is known by the Yaqui as Tenku Seatica or the World of the Dreaming. My art is my expression of the evolutionary forces of this world as channeled through the Great Mystery.
The Ancient Egyptians called the Great Mother, Nyx, She who spins Creation from the Great Mystery. The Yaquis call her Chokim Kari, which translates as House of Stars. In all ancient sacred teachings there is an underlying unity that the human being can recognize in the corridors of the dream. "House of Stars" is very appealing to me in all her forms. My Cherokee dreaming sisters tell that, if we enter into the chambers of the Blue matrix, we will be irrevocable drawn by the compassionate fires of the Solar Goddess to transmute and evolve. My art is dedicated as a prayer form to that end.
Dreaming is the way that all of us human beings work together in the House of Stars. We are each of us a star. We come from the stars, to live and work in the Garden that is our Sacred Mother Earth. We are evolving together, and all of us human beings shall return one day to the stars. We are voyagers in eternity, traveling together in the Mystery. My canvases are portals through which the dream voyager can enter the subtle worlds.
Plumeria Poston is my secret name as a Darkside Dreamwalker. Plumeria always paints on black canvas. She is the guide through the labyrinth of the deepest Shadow. Plumeria is a maiden warrior form of the Dark Mother. My canvases in either realm are invocational chambers of transformative magic. This magic is not mine alone. It is the magic of the river of eternal dreamers. My soul is but a tiny fleck of starfire in the midnight cloak of Heaven. Together we dream the Garden.
